Hippy Chick came into our rescue program on April 06, 2013, but sadly returned to our program on April 25, 2020. Hippy Chick came from the Seminole County Sheriff's Office along with 62 other horses and 3 Llama's as a severe cruelty case. Seminole County investigated an animal cruelty case consisting of over 120 animals, where several carcasses were found. Sadly, for many horses, help came too late. We were able to assist Seminole County and save 63 horses and 3 Llama's from neglect. Hippy Chick is a Beautiful, Chestnut, Haflinger, Mare. Hippy Chick is estimated to be 4 years of age. Hippy Chick is a body score of a 3. She is infested with internal/external parasites, has rain rot and is mildly anemic. She is super sweet and very smart. She loves attention and always easy to approach and catch. She loads in a trailer and stands for the farrier. Hippy Chick will be coming available for adoption soon. We will update as she progresses. Update June 2013 Hippy Chick is doing great, gaining weight and seeking her forever, loving family. Hippy Chick is a sweet girl, who is ready for training. Hippy Chick is blind in one eye, but it doesn't bother her at all. She is very smart and with the right amount of time and attention she will make someone an excellent horse. Hippy Chick stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. Hippy Chick has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming and hoof maintenance. Update September 2020 Hippy Chick has returned to our rescue program at no fault of her own. Hippy Chick is a super sweet girl and loves attention. Hippy Chick is now 11 years old and stands at 14.1 hands tall. She is super smart and will make someone an excellent horse with the right amount of time and training. Hippy Chick is not broke to ride, but she is smart and has a willing personality. Hippy Chick has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, dental and hoof maintenance. Hippy Chick was picked for our 10th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. She was chosen by Trainer Troi Taylor. Troi Taylor will be working with Hippy Chick for the next 130 days, turning Hippy Chick into a dependable riding companion. Troi will be going against 7 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We have a total of 16 trainers competing. Competition is set for May 15, 2021 at Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue's Facility at 21701 East Britton Road, Harrah, Oklahoma. Hippy Chick is a sweet girl and loves attention. Hippy Chick has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Hippy Chick has also been freeze branded for her protection. Team Hippy Chick did a great job at this years 10th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainers Challenge. We are thrilled to announce that Trainer Troi Taylor came in 1st place with Team Hippy Chick. Both did an amazing job and we couldn't be more proud of this wonderful team.

Hippy Chick has been adopted to a wonderful in Agra, Oklahoma. Hippy Chick is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in her forever, loving home. We are thrilled that this special girl found the forever, loving family she deserves where she will be showered with love and attention.

We are generally available by appointment Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and anytime Friday - Sunday. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
